This past weekend I celebrated my friend's birthday at the Tudor House in Santa Monica. It was my first time having afternoon tea and everything was very yummy! I recommend a pot of the Typhoo for those who like a cup of strong black tea. They also had the most delicious raspberry jam, perfect with one of their fresh scones.

I am completely in love with both of these collections. Both are perfect inspiration for my work wear, which has become a little stale. Seriously though, how amazing are those Burberry Prorsum coats?

back

(Marc by Marc Jacobs romper via eluxury.com and M by MJ bag)

I'm back! Okay so back since Monday but you know how it goes :) To recap, this past weekend was: Vegas with the boy, buffet extravaganza, THAT romper, Wheel of Fortune, delayed flight back to LA, going to Vivian's graduation, buying an oversized bird balloon, and catching up on sleep. All in all a successful adventure.

Marc Jacobs: love the shoes, but honestly the outerwear didn't grab me at all.
Alexander Wang: subdued and modern, I NEED that white coat?sweater?shirt? thing!

Still can't decide how I feel about this collection. On one hand I feel it's a bit dated (Great Gatsby anyone?) but at the same time I love how effortlessly everything is put together.

To come: Wang? Marc Jacobs? Rag & Bone? Your guess is as good as mine!

I really enjoyed this collection. Beautiful clothing and simple accessories. It's elegant yet sexy and professional. This is how monochromatic should be done. Not to mention how perfect the outerwear is tailored.

For tomorrow: CHANEL.
